Hackers steal British ex-premier’s private correspondence
UK police are investigating the hacking attack targeting about 20 computers which stored personal e-mail correspondence of about 100 people, including former prime minister Gordon Brown. The stolen messages relate to the period when the ex-premier headed the Ministry of Finance.
In total, the hackers got access to approximately 100 thousand emails. According to informed sources, the computer hackers may have been commissioned by representatives of the British press.
Earlier, Brown accused the publishing house News International, controlled by Rupert Murdoch-owned corporation News Corp., of violating his private life.
